My husband went to devry and after graduation he never got the helpthey promised. We got stuck with the bill paying for thousands of dollars.

They did not prepare him or taught him anything stay away

From this school it takes your money won't teach you much.

You should look into other schools don't let them brain wash you the have more negative reviews then positive.

Run as fast as you can they are no good only out to get your money. Even with grants they still tell you to get loans and you will be stuck paying for it.

Monetary Loss: $24.

Location: Los Angeles, California

Agree, Agree, Agree! Devry is a for profit school which means they can put out a sub-standard product and not even care as long as they get you're cash!

I was a sucker and fell for all of the advertising. I also attended the Art institute of Atlanta and it is the same thing there! Avoid for-profit schools like the plague! They are grifter's of the worst kind!

Attend a public university or tech school where you will actually be taught and the degree is respected and has some value! I was once told by a professor at my last school that Devry degrees are a joke and any hiring manager's that see devry on a resume immediately files it in the circular file!

This school has both helped me and KILLED me as well. When it did what I paid for, it was helpful, when it didn't, it caused my life huge problems.

If you had the misfortune of attending DeCry and got smart and left, keep all the financial information of every dime you spent their for the rest of your life. After only six months of being totally disgusted by the unprofessional, extremely rude and horrible staff, I left.

Took three years to pay off all the loans. SEVEN years later I was notified I still owed a thousand. I experience extreme rude collection like people who did not care at all and just wanted the money. I still had my box of shame of the receipts from that place but unfortunately not all.

DEMAND copies from the financial aid office on everything! Get it now if you already don't have them or the nightmare of that place will live on for years and years.

Devry Sucks,

There *** *** attendance system sucks. There dumb *** discussion system sucks.

I had one good 2 good professors out of 4. First of there professors don't even teach for a living. Is that right? Truly, this school only wants your money.

I was getting talked into going to the school by some slutty admission women and should have listened to my friend and went to a normal college.

I got kicked out of a class that I did everything in on the last week before the final and guess what I payed for that class. *** DeVry

I work at DeVry for over 15 years. They are a "for profit school" and they are also now a public school meaning they have sold their soul to the stock market.

They are not interested in your degree or your education, they only want your dollars. Once upon a time, they were for the students and actually asked local companies what they wanted from new graduates - no more. Their prices are outrageous, and in an effort to appease the people they have stopped their annual price hikes.

They once hired the best and retained the best but no more. Run away as fast as you can.

Unfortunately I graduated from DeVry and Keller. I had some strange experiences at both schools.

At Keller I met one of my teachers at a professional function, outside of school, and he was avoiding me like the plague. It was obvious that he was embarrassed to be a Keller professor. For a short time I listed my DeVry and Keller degrees on my resume, this was a big mistake.

Employers do not respect these institutions, and they question the sanity of anyone who would go to these institutions. If you have money to burn and you don't care about what people think, go to DeVry, otherwise get into a state college, or find a state satellite program as many have online classes.

I have only been a student there a short time and have decided to leave Devry behind. From the start I had administrative problems with people that I felt sold used cars before they got a job there.

They did not offer tutoring when I got in trouble with a course without driving over an hour (with a campus on the way home from work).

It has been a very stressful few months with them and I am moving on to a state college. Don't waste your time or money 8k a semester.

Same thing here. Top of my class.

I figured it out around semester 3 though so I didn't end up with as much debt. I had heard so many jokes about how bad DeVry was I figured it had to be an exaggeration and I gave them a chance.

The jokes are more than true. Save your money and time and try to go to a real school.

I can only agree with this. The only thing I found amazing was it was where I found my wonderful wife.

But now that we are graduated (top of our class) [ and that's not saying much considering they graduated people who could barely speak English ] we are stuck with a combined total of over $100k in debt and their degree is about as useful as toilet paper when it comes to interviews.

I'm ashamed I was tricked into this school.

I am in the same situation. I graduated in October of last year, and have not found a job.

I have even applied to jobs directly at DeVry and they will not hire me. But I am good enough to get money from!

I really hate that I choose HR and this school. I feel that they do not prepare you, they just give you your classes and send you on your way.

I thought I was the only one that was having trouble finding a job. I was certain that my new little degree woul at least get me an entry-level receptionist position.

Nope! Still at the same job, same money but NEW debt (student loans even afte financial aid)!
